The color selection is great, and it's compact size really appeals to bass in less than ideal conditions. Has a good wobble and somewhat of a hunting action. The colors look great online but are better in person.Ĭomments: Fantastic squarebill. It is very castable and will occasionally foul up on the cast but not nearly as bad as some of my other go to cranks. It's size is smaller but it will catch large fish. But its no problem to change out the hooks if that happens.Ĭomments: Fastly becoming my favorite shallow squarebill. The hooks are sticky sharp but a little bit brittle and have broken. But typically for me it reaches 3 or 4 feet. I'm sure that if you used a longer rod and lighter line that you might be able to get it to dive down to 6 feet. It has a fairly wide wobble with great action. I would compare this lure to the Storm Wiggle Wart but in a smaller version. I use a MH rod and 10-pound Trilene XL in low visibility green. I am a spinning reel fanatic and this lure fits in nicely with my arsenal. These are hard to find but if you can get your hands on some you will catch fish.įrom: Unknown: Lake Cumberland, KY 5/27/21Ĭomments: Catches them pretty good but the bill's on these for me have shattered easily.Ĭomments: I am really excited about the BX Brat #6 crankbait. Balsa breaks easily but the plastic coating really makes this bait quite durable while maintaining that same balsa action. Hooks are very small so I did up size and works greatĬomments: I like this bait a lot. Dives quick, cast good and has wooden crank action. I was a little reluctant to throw it for largemouth because of its small size, I was wrong.

Found it! Might upsize the hooks but that's about all I will tinker with.Ĭomments: My little brat got eaten by a 6lb largemouth while catching numerous 2-3lb smallies, gotta love those surprises. Best Squarebill on the market hands down!! I simply just change my colors with the season and water clarity! Don't let the small size fool you either, I caught multiple 5lb+ fish last year and 3 over 6! It's a fish catcher in general!!Ĭomments: I needed a small crank that casts well, doesn't go too deep, doesn't have a cheesy loud rattle, and has a less pronounced wobble. I have fished multiple banks where I go down it with a different Squarebill, and not even a sniff, grab a brat and go down the same bank and put multiple fish in the boat. Deflects well in wood, has an extreme action really works well around rip rap because when it deflects it will jump sideways, and 75% of my bites come off the defection. You can throw it up shallow and it will come through everything. I will say that I fish 3 tournament trails, and I did a few grand in tournament winnings last year, and not one tournament did I not weigh in at least one fish from The Brat! I fish the 6" diving one almost exclusively.

Comments: I don't know where to begin with this bait.
